Learn to Spend Less on Travel

A number of things can help you
have a cheaper trip. Some of these things have been included into a
comprehensive article on this page, hopefully it will be of great use to
you.
Low cost airline travel and
budget travel in general have gained more terrain over the years,
especially since the year 2000. Yet, not only the flight tickets and hotel
rooms can cost less, because if you are smart, then you can spare on
things you might not have known would help you travel cheaper!
Useful Tips for Price
Reduction
Avoid weekend and main
daytime flights:
Airlines spend more on the
mid-day and less on night or early morning flights. This is due to the
high airport-related prices and also because there are more connections
during that time (more airlines fly during day and they have more clients,
so they can allow to ask more for a ticket). If you choose to fly in early
morning or late at night, perhaps even at night, then you might spare big!
Smart packing:
Airlines' policies differ
from each other, but the 20 kg luggage weight limit is most common. If you
exceed that limit, you will have to pay. Slight increase of luggage weight
may result in you spending over 100 $ to board the airplane.
Smart packing means less
weight, of course, so make sure you take only what is necessary and plus a
few possibly handy items. If you need to take heavy technical items, such
as a laptop, better take a small netbook, in any case opt for the smaller
variant of everything.
Check the prices at the end of travel seasons:
Usually at the end of summer, early autumn, they can drop significantly.
If you travel to Hawaii in September, it will be cheaper than in July. The
same applies for most summer destinations.
